What’s Missing from this Picture?

People of color are missing from the overall discourse today. Instead, they occupy the usual slots in the world of celebrity and sports, but even there the view is limited. 

The Huffington Post offers a post on celebrities with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered siblings.

. . . But all of the celebs who are featured are white. Off the top of my head, I can recall former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin talking about his gay brother in Out . . .  Of course, there was no problem finding people of color for a feature on wardrobe malfunctions . . .
